Visa Applications
If you require a visa to enter Germany, we urge you to submit your abstract as soon as possible. Support letters for visas will be issued upon request. Please see the website for information about visas and visa letters.
The information below applies only to SHORT STAY visits of less than 90 days.

IUPS Teaching Workshop will provide upon request a support letter to accompany visa applications. See the section on requesting an IUPS visa letter from the workshop organizing committee. (The new ETIAS pre-travel authorization requirement for visa-exempt countries has been delayed until Q4 2026.)

Special points to note:
- Everyone who enters Germany needs valid travel health insurance, which is in line with Schengen insurance requirements (€30,000 coverage in all Schengen States). You must submit an insurance certificate, clearly stating the coverage amount.

WARNING:
We have been made aware of several scam emails and phishing attempts sent to IUPS 2025 participants/invited speakers about the congress in Frankfurt.
If you are contacted from any hotel agency regarding hotel rooms for IUPS 2025 (e.g. from Travel Housing Team / travellerpoint / ehotelservices / expoforhotelservices, Larry Ellison or EHS), please note that they are not operating on our behalf.
Participants may use our collaboration with TCH Hotels (see above).
Invited Speakers will receive all information regarding their hotel reservation from the congress organisation (registration@iups2025.com or info@iups2025.com) only.
Accommodation

Löwenstein is a residential conference center, and meeting registration includes double room and meals for the duration of the meeting. A limited number of single rooms are available at an additional cost.
The facilities are similar to those of a hotel but participants should bring their own Kleenex and face cloths.
All meals are offered in buffet form. A vegetarian alternative is always included. They are happy to accommodate vegan diets, food intolerances or religious requests as far as possible – by prior arrangement. The registration form will include a place to note dietary restrictions.

Buses will depart on Sunday 14 September from the Frankfurt conference center Kap Europa at 4 pm
